Sorry to say that Artstream development has been suspended for now. We look forward to resuming it someday, but it is hard to say when. In the meantime, alternatives include Linux applications such as Skencil, (formerly called Sketch), http://sketch.sourceforge.net/index.html, or Sodipodi, http://www.sodipodi.com/, both of which have significant vector illustration features. Karbon14, part of the KOffice suite, http://www.koffice.org/ could be useful as well.
