Say it, See it, and let it ripple
Our text waterfall allowed you to speak into the microphone and see your words flow with a stream of water, tumble down a rocky path, and bounce against the walls of the retaining pool. You could then wave your hand over a word to see a ripple and then a synonym spring from the word. Voice recognition, projection mapping, physics simulation, gesture detection, and database lookup all converged to provide this highly engaging attraction.
Mediascape first presented this display for an open house at the Universal Images facility. The speech recognition was especially accurate near the start of the open bar party but, for some reason, substituted some strange and surprising words in the much later hours of the event.
